Biscayne National Park is a unique marine park within sight of downtown Miami. Ninty-five percent of the park’s surface area is water protecting a rare combination of coral reefs, aquamarine waters, emerald isles, and over 70 shipwrecks. Since the majority of this park is underwater, be sure to pack your swimwear and waterproof camera equipment to get the most out of this special national park. Snorkeling, scuba diving, boat rides, and kayaking are all great ways to explore the beauty of this incredible place!
If landscape photography is more your style, you may want to check out the mangrove shore at Convoy Point which is the only road-accessible part of the park. Feeling more adventurous? Then try camping on the Boca Chita Key or Elliott Key islands for some good landscape photography opportunities. Be sure to pack your own food as there are no services available on the islands and as with every park, take only pictures and leave only footprints when you go. Be sure to visit the park website for current conditions and closures.
